Australia has beautiful beaches. December is summertime, and should be great weather. In between Sydney and Melbourne are the Snowy Mountains. There won't be any snow there to ski at that time, but it's a beautiful place to see and hike. It's also wine country between Sydney and Melbourne, so touring the wineries is fun. Of course, the capitol of Australia, Canberra, is right in the middle of Sydney and Melbourne. Try to get over to Adelaide, west of Melbourne. Sydney itself is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. There is so much to see and do all around there. The Blue Mountains are just a train ride outside of Sydney. If you can arrange to see a concert or just tour the Sydney Opera House, Good On You!

Nutcracker
Get a work permit and stay there. It is a better climate and way of life.

They also have a better Cricket and Rugby team - lol

go to the casinos in both towns. you can try your luck and plus they are really nice to be in.

Surf! Bondi beach and Manly. Or if you're lazy you could just lie in the sun with a beer. Try not to turn yourself into a roasted lobster though - nothing worse than sweaty, lagered, tomato-coloured tourists.
