don't be scared you will have a great time. someone from the US moved to my school and everyone wanted to be friends with them. and if anyone does make fun of you it's probably just coz their jealous. just out of curiosity where abouts are you moving like what city. also my mum is american and we live in australia and every one is soooo nice to her. don't worry you'll be fine.
good luck from down under, mate.

You never know they might be intrigued at your accent because it's unique. Just make friends and be nice. thats all i can say. |

No, Australia isn't far away. It's right here on earth.
I can actually fly to the US faster than it used to take me to travel to my mothers house on the train in the university vacation periods. And there's the internet, so it's not like it's hard to stay in some kind of contact with people you're friends with now.
It's certainly possible some people might make fun of your accent. A few people are just like that for some reason. Most people won't - we hear American accents every day on TV and movies, and most people are friendly. At least they will mostly understand what you're saying - when I go to the US, a lot of cities they can't understand a word I say (and they nearly all think I am English for some reason). |

Everyone will love you. Australia loves America. Just think how lucky you are to live in another country and learn from them. Not everyone gets to do that. You will be home again. You are going to make such great new friends just wait and see. Of course you will miss your friends from home but now you will have so many letter to write and tell them all the wonderful things your learning in a new country. Lucky you
Have fun |

We should be scared coming to your country, not you guys. Americans make fun of our accent, sometimes. So, you're perfectly OK. And we'll love your accent. :)
Good luck. |

I'm pretty sure they won't make fun of your accent, also don't say G'day or any of the sterotypes just be yourself and you'll be fine. |

I guess it depends on where you are moving to but I dont think anyone will laugh at you. Australians are very accepting, I think most people will find you interesting and will be very keen to get to know you! Just be yourself! |
