Bondi Beach
Harbour Bridge (if u can afford it, do the bridge climb)
Opera House
Sydney Harbour Aquarium
Sydney Wildlife World
Taronga Zoo
Jamberoo Recreation Park
Botanical Gardens
Clubs along george street on fri/sat nights
Pancakes on the Rocks (restaurant)
Paddington Markets (aka paddys markets)

Some people like Kings Cross for clubs (but its renown for being strong in the gay/lesbian/bisexual movement, so mayke sure ur comfortable with that)

Hope you have an awesome time!

It depends what you are into :)

If you like the water there are great beaches close to the city
Like Bondi Beach or get out to the northern beaches and go to
Palm Beach and climb up to Barrenjoey lighthouse having lunch at the Newport Arms on the way back. A nice day drive is out to Akuna Bay to see a great marina with good cafes and then you have to see the views from West Head! another great day out a few hours drive away is the Blue Mountains always a few degrees cooler than the city and with some lovely boutique hotels and great eating & spectacular views.

If you like active things walk over the top of the Harbour bridge and spend a day at Taronga Zoo you can get the ferry there from Circular Quay in the city.

There are an abundance of cafes / restaurants / pubs all over Sydney there are some very good museums and galleries as well.

You need to supply a but more info on your interests for us to be able to give you places to go.

Have a look at some websites. Plenty to see depending on your interests.

The Prime Minister lives at Kirribilli House in Kirribilli and not at Parliament House - that is in the city and isn't very interesting at all!

"-Parliament House (Where the Prime Minister lives)"

LOL!
First of all - Parliament house is in canberra.
Secondly - the prime minister doesn't live there.
he lives in the lodge.
(also in canberra!)

hahaha

Northern Beaches (Bondi is too over-rated)
Newtown and Glebe (coffee and book shops)
Watsons Bay Hotel, Watsons Bay (lunch in the beer garden overlooking the harbour)
Ferry trips to Manly
Olympic Park (any sports-nut would like a tour of that)
Blue Mountains (although about 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours drive, depending how far up you go, from Sydney)
Leichhardt ('Little Italy' - nice food and coffee)
Royal National Park
Taronga Zoo
Australian National Maritime Museum
The Rocks
Botanical Gardens
South Head

Too many places to name

Go to Manly beach rather than Bondi- to many tourists at Bondi; Manly is more locals thus a more real experience.

- Double Bay to drink coffee with the upper class
- Sydney's Northern Beaches - take the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly
