there is so much to see and its so huge here are a few of the places I really enjoyed on my travels
Fraser Island- camping there is so much fun
Whitsunday Islands- you have to see white-haven beach
Byron Bay- really cool surfer, hippie town
Kings Canyon- amazing climb
The blue mountains & Genolan caves see a bit if aussie bush!
drive along the great ocean road
Melbourne is awesome for nightlife, eating out
Sydeny is fun too and they have Bondi beach
There are so many more places as well, you will have a excellent time!! |

Melbourne, MELBOURNE! An awesome city with plenty to do..loads of bars, restaurants & awesome food. It's also got some fab touristy places to visit.
Surfer's Paradise/Brisbane if you're into beaches. Also loads of bars & restaurants.
If you want a semi-quiet time, go to my favourite place of all..Port Douglas. It's a little town that thrives on tourism, so there's plenty of night life, amazing bars & restaurants..AND you have The Great Barrier Reef at your doorstep..something you MUST see!
Have a blast! |

Cairns can be a good place to go... because it caters for travellers so well. Whatever you want to do on a holiday, you can pretty much do it all there... which make it especially good for groups travelling together who may not 100% have the same interests. Eg. there are hiking trails, whitewater rafting, bungee jumping, unique night clubs, shopping, wonderful restaurants, the skyrail etc... And you can go out and meet other young travellers so easily. I've found you can just walk into a bar there, start a conversation, and feel like you're with people you've known for ages. |

oh where do i begin...for clubbing-sydney and the Gold coast in summer (and melbourne)
things to do.....Great Barrier reef is a must, Byron Bay is an absolute must, Sydney ofcourse(esp Bondi and Harbour), Jervis bay just sth of Sydney has the whitest sand in the world (Flea from Red Hot Chilli Peppers has a house there), Daintree rainforest and Port Douglas (although it may be rainy season in the tropics so it maybe a no no), whitsundays(but again it may be a bit too wet as its the tropics and rainy season. you must go to the Northern Territoty to to see Uluru, the desert and Arnhem Land and the Never Never land, Fraser Island in Queensland (not far from Brisbane) is also cool.......so many places so little time |

if you like clubbing and barhopping then melbourne is the best for that sorta stuff.
Melbourne is the best city in Australia it is very cosmopolitan full of things to do and the people and friendly it is also very safe.
Sydney is very dull and boring... the only nice thing is the harbor alot of Americans prefer Melbourne over Sydney |
