That amount is roughly what a Contributory Parent (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 143) will cost all up. You're eligible for this visa if your daughter sponsors you and at least half of your children are permanently resident in Australia or if you have more children living permanently in Australia than in any other country.
The 143 visa is expensive, but it will be issued far faster than other parent visas and grants permanent residency (and eventual citizenship if you wish). You will also be eligible to receive subsidised healthcare through Medicare and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and can access certain social security payments (subject to waiting periods). You can also work if you wish to do so.

Well the best way would be to sell your house if you own one at the moment. then what part of australia are you looking at going to? I know some of the smaller towns rent is £45. But i would sell the house but before that i would look in the the places in the area for rent or that are being sold.then try and get a farie ride to there its cheaper to move all you items then get your self set up with a moveing truck at the docks to take your items to your new location. |

Go to Alaska, you can live off the land and make a stake on government land. There's a lot of single white guys there for you're daughter if she's old enough. |

To answer this question properly I would need to know two things. How many children do you have, and what is your daughter's residence status in Australia. |

the only way you could move to Australia is if your daughter sponsors you
are you retired? you wouldn't have much chance of finding work in Australia at your age
this site should help you work out the process good luck

Do you have a skill? Does your daughter? a profession Australia is looking for?
If you don't you could check out what their looking for and see if you can get retrained or?you can check out with Australia House....what people they need right now.
I know Australia have been running a "where are you" campaign to bring Australians home...so the demand from other countries may be less.
Good luck. |
