You know, I really wish people would stop being so condescending on this site. If they think the question is not worth answering then don't answer it. Why do people have to make someone feel bad for asking a question? I know there was a time in my life that I might have asked this same question.
Yes, you will be able to get radio stations on your walkman radio. The one thing that no one remembered to remind you is that you will need to bring an international plug adapter. You can buy one with a transformer that willl make all of your travel "appliances" including anything from a blowdryer to a curling iron work overseas in the airport from which you leave for about $25 US. They have them at all the usual stores in major international airports. You will need one to charge your camera too as NZ electric is not the same as US. Do yourself a favor and remember to get this. You can get it from Radio Shack too. Ask them for a travel converter and transformer. And sweetie, don't listen to any of these people that give you idiot answers. The people that are nice are the only ones to pay attention to. Have a great trip. You are going to love it over there. KIWI's are the best! (I'm assuming you are writing from US)
fletch
if they have a radio broadcast why not unless they use a different wave link
saorsie
yes no problem.
TonyB
it will work - but it depends on the FM frequency range that it caters for. You don't say which country you're coming from so I'll assume Outer Mongolia.
NZ has quite a number of FM stations but I don't know what range they're on. I've got no idea about Outer Mongolia.
Bring it....it's not going to add much weight to your luggage.
foggy
yeah , but probably wont get as many stations as you are use to
fozzy bear
