The US has always been known as the land of opportunity...the job won't come to you, you have to assert yourself and go out and find it...but your chances are much greater in the US to find a job than anywhere else in the world...fo sure!

It all depends on where you are moving to, your skill etc. If you want to do something like work in retail or at a restaurant or hotel you should find a job easily. Good luck to you!

But Why??

Get on as Dr Phil's assistant.

Working on a Full House
That really depends on your desired field, education level and in what part of the country you will be living.

Confused
It depends what kind of job you are looking for, where and how much you want to get paid? If your talking about low end jobs like flipping burgers. No problem that is easy. BUT, you need some kind of prove that you are allowed to work in the US. Otherwise the company might be charged for hiring illegal alien or something. However, there are always those mom and pop industry where they are willing to hire illegals so long as you shut your mouth about it. Try small individual restaurants.
ei
Now, if you are talking about high end jobs, then it is quite tough now. As an engineer, it wasnt easy to find one. It all depends if you have connection, REALLY. However, if you have tons of experience and great education background, then your chances increases significantly. ALSO, if you are willing to be paid less also makes you more competitive. However, like other jobs, you need permit to work in the US for sure when it comes to these kinds of jobs. Try to look for jobs in small companies, those are easier.
ou
Finally it depends on where you want to work. If you want to work in big cities like LA or New York, forget about it. Competition there is so tough mind as well look at other places. FOr easier place to look, look for small towns and rural america. Life might be boring as hell, but atleast you will have a job.
Also, since America is kind bias, it is easier to get a job if you are a women or if you are black. Yeah I hate to say it but its true.
Good luck MAIGHT.

ms muffet, we would need more information to answer this question. there are a lot of variables to consider:

- your educational level (a college degree is helpful)
- your career field (factory jobs are harder to come by)
- your resume/work experience (have you been consistently employed?)
- the area you move to (unemployment rates very from state-to-state and city-to-city

here is a site that may give you more info if you know where you plan to live. you can use this site to look up crime rates, educational systems, cost of living, cost of healthcare, and other vital stats for most US cities.

Depends on location and attitude.

Depends on your skills an deducation. If they are not in the right fields..you will have a tough time getting a job.

it is hard if you are a democrat. you will listen to the press and be overcome with stories of a failing economy, government intrusion and a general malaise.

everyone else goes on with a mostly positive outlook and ignores the dribble from our liberal media. we have the best economy in the world, best standard of living and the best quality of life and health care in the world. (but do not tell a democrat/liberal this news... it will be met with scorn.)

jobs are plentiful... but make sure you enter legally, as illegal immigrants are not in favor, currently. most will have to leave soon, or face the prospect of severe fines and jail time.
