townsville ~ hot and sunny 95% of the time, but bearable. awesome beaches, reliable public transport and no heavy congestion. BEST TOWN EVER. also on the coast and lovely and pretty and all that other stuff you look for.

PERTH IS GREAT :) ... or MELBOURNE

maddie p
i live in australia- sydney is really big on driving
with melbourne (down south), the public transport system (trams mostly) is really extensive so you don't have to drive much, my aunt lives in the heart of melbourne and survives without a car (she has lived there for 20 years). Hope you can move here! its a great country
please, feel free to message me if u have any questions / comments!! only too happy to answer

Well I live in a town in south-east queensland called "Warwick". Its not to big and not to small and it has martigrass and a famous rodeo. I really would consider living here.

in a previous question you said it was your life long dream to live in canada

it isn't easy to pass immigration to canada and even harder for australia

for australia you need to be a skilled and experienced worker in an occupation australia needs

Melbourne's probably a good place - I moved to Sydney 3 years ago when I was 13 and it's very difficult to live here. Driving is TERRIBLE, public transports unreliable, expensive, filthy and crowded - just like the living conditions lol. I'm not high maintenance, I came from New Zealand where my town was ridiculously cold and kinda poor lmao.

The moneys good where I live, but I'm misplaced cause I'm white due to living in a high density immigrant population. And yeah, me and my family and alot of kids I know are quite miserable where we live. It's not that bad, it's just that you don't get that typical Australian lifestyle. I actually had to quit surfing when I moved here lmao! Anyway, it's not as bad as I make it out to be, but Sydneys just not a good pick. I'd have to drive 45 minutes to my closest beach, either that or be a millionaire just to live as close as possible to it.

So yeah, Melbournes a really good choice - or Perth.

Good luck xD

The Hunter Valley region, a short drive north of Sydney.

Newcastle is the main hub, a thriving city without all the hassles of overcrowding, traffic jams etc. and so, so very close to the water.

(In fact, you can be swimming at the city surf beaches within minutes of leaving your deskjob for lunch.)

Links to the Hunter region are included below.

If ur down to earth and embrace all cultures and mind-sets, come to Melbourne. If ur ruled by facades and need to be constantly reassured by an insulating segment, go to Sydney. If you need to slow down your pace go to Brisbane. If you dont really need much external stimulation choose Adelaide. If u want to go to bed & wake up in silence, go to Tasmania. If you like to head for the city and end up finding a block of apartments and a shopping plaza, you want to go to Perth. If you want to step back in time a bit in a more exotic environment, you can head for Darwin. If you're a bit of a nerd and you like watching question time in Parliament and pretty much nothing else, head for Canberra.

Have lived in 4 capital cities, and the only one where I managed to commute easily on public transport was Melbourne. This is a very livable city.

anon_guy_anon
Melbourne is the sports capital

Adelaide is like a country town

Perth and Brisbane are very hot

Tasmania is small and cold
