I would go you can always come back if you don't like it, besides relatives can always visit you!

Assuming you are younger versus older, I'd do it! You can always go home if things don't work out or you are just plain miserable. Besides, you'll meet new friends and create a new "family". More importantly, you'll probably regret it if you DON'T do it! Good luck!

Go it will be a great opportunity for you, your family can always visit. My sister now lives in Brisbane and we visit twice a year its great, so go ahead your family will get over it if they get upset, think about yourself good luck.

I know it's easy for any of us to say but I think you should go, u will have the time of ur life and in years to come you will be pleased you took up the opportunity...but if you don't you may live to regret it.
I know I would miss my family but if it's just short term you will be back and it won't seem that bad..!
But only u will know what u want to do....
if you need sum company i'm not doing much......x

Go you fool! Run! Now!

if you are single and with no attachment...... give it a shot. there are many who would like to live somewhere but do not have the chance... if you don't go, you might be left with the big "WHAT IF" years down the line....

after living there, you can decide if you can want to stay on or go back to where you are currently...but sometimes going back does not mean you will have everything you thought you have.

make new friends, see new things, learn new stuff..... ......have fun...

you can't live your life to make other people happy......sure as heck people don't live their lives to make you/us happy.
Go for it, you can always come back in the future. You can call /email when ever you want.

Is your Yahoo tag short for MUPPET.
What help do you need? Are your Family and friends enough to keep you in the UK?
Come on, be real. A move to Australia is a dream come true for anyone. You will make newfriends when you get there, and your old friends could combine a visit with a holiday. Your family, (if they think anything of you at all) should support you, and urge you to take up this once in a lifetime opportunity.

I had a chance to work in California on a 7 year contract back in 2001. I listened to my family and friends, and my decision was taken on my wife's reluctance to move. I decided not to go, and in 2004 she packed her bags and left :-)

The future is whatever you want it to be. Dont be swayed by famly or friends, do what you think is right for you

Good Luck with your decision, i'd go i a flash

Tia
Go and make the most of it, family and friends can always visit and if you dont like it you can come back!

If this is your first trip away from home....Then look at this as an adventure checking out new territory. And the great experiance it will have on you. The country is great. The people are great also. Your family and friends will always be here when you get back. If not, they weren't much in the first place and they sure in the h*ll don't understand your needs for adventure. If Mom and Dad are supporting you, that is all that is important. And just give them your love and E-Mail and then write back and forth that way.
Good Luck my friend. And have fun there!!!!

Depends on a lot of things

Do you have friends in Australia?

What would you be doing there?

Do you have alot of close friends at home or are they all quite distant?

Can you come back home or would you have to quit a decent job?

Lots of factors to consider when making a massive life changing decision like that.

All I can say though is that if I could take all my friends, my job, my girlfriend etc with me I would live in Australia without a seconds hesitation. One of the most amazing places in the world, and you have New Zealand a stones throw away which is the most amazing place in the world, not to mention Fiji, Indonesia, Tasmania etc etc.

Do you want to be alone in Australia or at home with your family? Do you prefer Australians to your own people? These are the questions you need to ask yourself.

If you're going alone, you will find it hard going at first. You will probably even want to come home. If you're lucky, you'll make some "mates."

However, you will lose contact with your family. Even if they could afford to fly all the way down on that nightmarishly long flight, it wouldn't be very often.
