You will only need your driver's licence if you want to hire a car here. For everything else, your passport will be more than enough ID. Even if you want to hire a car, a temporary licence and your passport together should be enough.
Don't worry - enjoy your honeymoon. |

Yea, somebody probably will honor that. I'm not sure. As long as you get it approved by a cop or somebody, it should be alright. |

You can go directly to the DMV( Division of motor vehicles) and get one right away.
However, your passport counts as a picture ID |

you shouldn't need it, doesn't your passport have your picture in it?
long as you have a passport and a visa you will be fine, you wont be able to drive in Australia though without a full license |

Your passport is your picture id. The only time you will need your licence is if you want to hire a car. The paper you will bring may work for this otherwise don't worry come and enjoy yourself |
