I need to know lotsa stuff about Australia?

The capitals, smaller cities, foods that are raised in Australia, the animals there, and two questions to all the Aussies on Yahoo! Answers, is it true kangaroos can kill you and in parts of Australia do kangaroos show up in your front yard?

He's gone fishing.
Large kangaroos can kill you. When you hunt them with dogs they can disembowel a dog, and believe it or not, they are very good swimmers and will swim away from a dog then turn around and drown it. Kangaroos do not show up in everyones back yard, if you live in the bush, there is a good chance you will have them there. We only get snakes and spiders in our backyard. You also have to watch out for the Kangawallafox.

Kangaroos can kill you yes, but it is very remote. The real danger is from the Dropbear and the Hoopsnakes.

mmmmm school project hey!

Apart from all the answers you have already been given may I suggest - 'research'.

Roo's are wild animals and yep, they can sure can kill, but you wont find them hopping down the main streets in Sydney or Melbourne or the like. They do prefer the bush. Dropbears, however, can be found in all areas and can be completely unpredictable. They seem to have adapted to built up environments and where it was first thought that their numbers were dwindling it is now quite common to see them even in the Sydney cbd. Also, the rain we have experienced recently here on the East Coast has obviously had a significant impact on our fauna, which means we now have an abundance of grasses. This new growth of fresh and sweet grasses is a signal to the animals to breed. So the breeding season for dropbears and the kangawallafox is ideal for them at the moment. So we will surely see a rise in their numbers.

Capitals and smaller cities hey? Well there are just a few.... you had better look that one up yourself - we won't have room to write it all here!

Foods - I was raised on a mixture of dutch, indonesian and english food. Roasts, stir-frys, etc. We also eat a lot of traditional australian foods such as meat pies, lamingtons, pavlovas, vegimite (a must), damper, etc. Most of my friends enjoy a good steak on a piece of bread and some salad... that is pretty standard here.
If you meant what is grown in Australia? Pretty much everything. We have very good meats though. And tropical fruits! Oh - and seafood - don't forget the seafood.

Animals - too many to mention but the main ones are kangaroos, koalas, emus and wombats. Tasmanian devils are only found in Tasmania (obviously!) There are plenty more... but maybe you can look that up!

Kill? Yes - kangaroos can get quite large (taller than humans) and have been known to kill people, though this is not a common occurance. I do suggest if you were to see one that you don't try and pat it!!! It's just like any other wild animal.

Front yards? Yes - especially outside the cities there are plenty of roos on properties. We lived in a fairly densly populated area in QLD and we even had a koala that came to our house every year. He liked to stay a couple of days in the gum trees in our backyard... and I'm not kidding. This is becomming more rare however as they (koalas and roos - and wombats) keep getting killed from all the cars.

capitals are: NSW-Sydney
QLD-Brisbane
ACT-Canberra-which is also the capital of Australia
VIC-Melbourne
TAS-Hobart
WA-Perth
NT-Darwin
SA-Adelaide
smaller cities...well there are a lot of them, and same for animals- iconic ones being Koalas, Kangaroo, ring tailed possum, platypus ect, more common are a large variety of snakes and spiders.

And yes- Red Kangaroos are usually the same size as a adult human, and they can defo kill you. and no kangaroos do not show up in everyones FRONT yard, though i live in a inner suburb and ive had wallabys in my BACK yard.
