I too am relocating to Melbourne with my family (Altona)and I've heard it's great! anyone else agree?
trust me melbourne rocks. it is so lively and friendly and laid back at the same time. plus it is also very convenient as there is great public transport such as trams trains and buses. There are great schools for young children to university students. and we have a varitety of food and cafes and a little but of culture too. I have been living in melbourne forever and wouldnt trade it for anything. Its the best place to be especially in summer when people are enjoying a warm day in the park!!

Altona is a good place to live. Do you like being by the water? Port Phillip Bay is close, there's a fantastic mix in ALtona of people who have settled from other places and the traditional older Ozzies. I liked working in Altona.

Don't believe everything you hear, pal.
You'll soon realize that you've made the wrong choice, by selecting Melbourne.
You'll wish you had gone to either Perth, Darwin, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Hobart or any other Oz city - rather than Melbourne.
I don't have space here to tell you of all the negatives of that city.
