In terms of the legalities of moving to Australia see http://www.immi.gov.au
Australia is a gorgeous diverse place, somewhere to suit everyone. If you're after a location to live, I suggest you ask another question and post the things you're after, i.e
- Weather preferance
- Public transport vs Private
- City vs Country or In between
- Income
- Family vs Single
- Work
- Schools/Uni's
- Employment opportunities |

You could try the immigration office in London or look on the Internet for their site as it has all the information you need on it. |

Sydney and Melbourne are the 'big cities' but there are some really nice other cities to live in. Darwin, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth are the other captial cities (I wouldn't recommend canberra or hobart!) I live in Adelaide and it's a really nice city. I am 20 minutes from the city centre, but I live in a nice suburb and it's not too expensive. If you live in syndey or melbourne, you really can't get that close to the city centre without paying a bucketload for it. |

Look around and see where you would want to live. Then you can find out whether you would be able to live there. |

Depending on your age, you could apply for a job on a holiday resort or manual labour. You have to have so many thousand AU$ first. There are specialist agencies in the UK that recruit people to live and work in Australia. It's great if you know someone there and can provide and address. Make sure you take plenty of sun cream though :) |
