I used to do it as a child but often lost the patience to carry one, maybe you could help me?

digital genius
probably not, you'd be off by a mile or two and end up under the ocean in the south pacific

coza b
Yes you will, Nobody ever did it, so there is no proof if you keep digging you will hit magma. So you can be the one who proof it or reaches australia.

Fryemall
Perhaps, after passing through the molten nickel center of the Earth which would most likely disintegrate you before you finished. Just a guess.

i hope the lava in the core doesn't burn ur *** on the way down

emerald

No, I think you need to look at a globe.

nope sorry it would get too hot melting your equipment because of the molten mantle and besides that the cose it solid made of iron and a few other things so its pretty hard lol

Logan

Probably you´ll burn, if you ever get to the
center of the earth, but who Am I to stop you,
so keep digging

PINK
never now?

Sutter-Cane

Go ahead try it...

Aussieblonde -bundy'd
yes, please keep digging

angelo26
Keep going digger.

Prince Cosmo
But where would you put all the dirt?

rhsaunders

Depends on where you start. From where I am, I would wind up somewhere in the Indian Ocean. But of course it is impossible to do so because, when you get deep enough, the sides of the hole will not withstand the pressure and the hole will collapse.

go and get a spoon and keep digging!! mind send me a postcard from where ever you end up! good luck.x

no youde burn from the earths core you muppet

twinsters
yes but only if you have a ruler with you keep in a streight line.

NYman
Only one way to find out.

Steve C
I think you would burn up from the extremely hot centre of the earth before you got anywhere

therewould be a cave in res. buried alive

Jess
with all the magma and layers of hard rock aside, i think you could achieve your goal : )

Chesh »
Rating
well first you be in the crust
then the mantle
and the liqiud rock (core) and melt
then you will be in the mantle
then the crust
then Austrailia

Barkley Hound
We would need your latitude and longitude to figure that out exactly but I think you would melt when you got to the middle.

Just get a globe and put your finger over where you live. Now look and see what is on the opposite side. I was always told it was China which is obviously wrong.

Rob_Meyer
I guarantee you would :)

Roy
You would actually die before you penetrated the lowest level of the earths crust.. The deepest mines in the world e.g. the diamond and gold mines of South Africa are almost unbearably hot.

Peter B
Rating
you must read Jules Verne Journey to the centre of the earth the answer is their with a lot of blisters on the hands
peter b

meshan
You would hit magma and the very hot centre of the world.
