If you was going to emigrate to Australia, which part would you go to and why?

Yes Rita, Wollongong is beautiful, I live there. It is located 1 hour south of Sydney.
If I had a choice i would move to Queensland. The cost of living is cheaper than here in New South Wales, the weather is warmer in winter and there are more job opportunities.
Perth is a great place to live too. It is similar to living in Queensland however it is remote compared to other major cities.
It all depends on what you are going to do here and whether you like warm or cold weather. The southern states have cool winters, the northern ones are much milder.
Wherever you go Australia is beautiful, do you have time to look around before you settle in one place?

It depends what you want from Australia. Australia is such a vast a big country and has everything all in one country. I love the east coast (Sydney, Queensland and Melbourne). Melbourne is cosmopolitan, Sydney is fantastic but I would say more Aussie and I love Queensland, but Queensland is only for those who are used to the heat and humidity. It depends on what you want. Sydney can get very humid but usually has mild winters, Melbourne can be cooler in the winter but is more cultured and cosmopolitan and Sydney's beaches (further out, not Bondi which is too commercialised) are fantastic. Australia is a new country compared to Europe but most of its European history is on the Eastern Coast. Goulburn is Australia's first inland town and was used for the Gold Rush. I feel there is a lot more to see and do in Australia on the eastern side plus when you move to a new country you want to make friends with the locals not just the ex-pats. It is your choice.
