•The Sydney Opera House:Located in the city, millions of tourists a year throng the building just to see it, even if they have little or no interest in Opera. The Sydney Opera House is easily one of the most famous structures ever built.
•Darling Harbour is a large tourist precinct and includes a range of activities, restaurants, museums and shopping facilities.
•Sydney Olympic Park: Home of the 2000 Summer Olympics (known as "the best Games ever"!), in Homebush.
•Luna Park:, 1 Olympic Dr., Milson's Point, tel: 02 9033 7676, [ Is a large theme park situated near the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it's mouth shaped entrance can be seen from many areas of Sydney as well as the large Ferris Wheel.
•Sydney Tower: also called Centrepoint Tower. The tallest structure in Sydney, the tower contains a buffet, cafe and a rather large restaurant and attracts many visitors a year.

Sydney Harbour

Sydney fish market, honestly well worth a vist. It's the world's second largest seafood market in terms of variety outside of Japan. You really need to get there early to see all the action taking place. Then if you like good food you can eat the most amazing seafood there, though prices vary alot!

take a ferry trip to Manly.
If you like sailing try to hook up with people who have a yacht - the harbour is possibly the nicest in the world.
If you're here at New Years Eve then definitely watch the fireworks.
Go to a footy match.
If you like bush walking go to the Blue Mountains - breathtaking.
Hire a car and drive to the Hunter Valley if you're into the whole winery thing.
Bridge climb. This lets you walk over the harbour bridge right up the top over the arches. If that's too much go to Centrepoint tower for the sake of the view.
Bondi beach is nice. If you are really into surfing go south a couple of hours.
Opera house is fun for a classy night out.
Have lunch in Hyde park then walk to the art gallery.

Do the bridge climb - you won't regret it! It's not as scary as it sounds and it really will be a highlight of your trip. The views are unbelievable.
If you have a car, take a day trip to Canberra. Its only a few hours away.
Have lunch at Doyles seafood restaurant in Watsons Bay. They serve the best seafood !
Enjoy your trip!

It is now late Autumn and winter will start June 21. See Sydney bridge. . .the coat hanger, also the opera house is very spectacular. For night life check out the area around 'The Cross' There are many malls and good shopping areas all over downtown Sydney

The Jet Boat trips are quite fun and thrilling you can jump on one of those in Darling Harbour which is where you can find the IMAX, Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Wildlife World... You also have your Bridge Climb and the Sky Tower Tours... Jump on a Ferry to Taronga Zoo and also to Manly (depending on what season you come you might want to learn to surf). General sites of Circular Quay with the Harbour Bridge and Opera House a walk through the Botancial Gardnes round to Mrs. Macquaries Chair where you get a nice look back to the Bridge and Opera House. Loads of shopping on George St in the City and also on Oxford St in the Cross.. A trip to Bondi Beach... And if you can get onto a day trip to the Blue Mountains see a kangaroo or two, Three Sisters .etc.

Sean B
You can check out Byron Bay and Bondi Beach. Go on a daytrip to Blue Mountains via Katoomba. See the 3 sisters and sit on the steepest train in the world!
