No. Also, Koalas aren't even bears - it is a marsupial

Elizabeth
We have Gummi Bears same as everywhere else.

We do have chocolate koalas filled with caramel. They also come filled with strawberry or mint filling. Very yummy.

I didn't know this till I looked it up just now.

History
The Gummy Bear originates from Germany where it is hugely popular under the name Gummibär (rubber bear) or Gummibärchen [little rubber bear(s)].

No, koalas smell of eucalyptus (gum tree) leaves and anyway they are a protected species. We do have chocolate koalas and gummi bears.

But Why??
Oh yeah, we love em. We also eat marshmellow emu's, caramellow koala's, and gummy goanna's.

we eat gummy bears too.

but you can get gummy snakes here so that is probably a bit different.

and we eat caramello koalas - chocolate koalas filled with caramel.

we also eat our national emblems - the emu and kangaroo - but not as lollies, we eat the actual animals. just a bit of trivia for you.

Jim Jo
gummy bears are internationally known.. they are same everywhere.

We eat Caramello Koalas - delicious Cadbury chocolate exterior with a smooth caramel centre that drips after you bite it. So much nicer than gummy bears (they stick in your teeth - but yes, we have them here).

Ha Ha very funny!!! lol
We have gummy bears too but we don't have gummy koalas we have Caramello Koalas. We don't eat koalas yet and I hope we never do, but we are the only country in the world (I think) that eats one of the animals on our Coat of Arms. The kangaroo
Hope this helps and have a great day/night!!!
xx K

Awesome
great question but we dont. we still have gummi bears and i love them

Joe
Good Q! LOL

Unfortunately not very many Gummy Koalas - koalas are now protected but would be stringy and hard to digest due to eucalyptus diet.

I expect that magpies (B&W bird - also protected) would be much nicer and closer to gummy bears in taste due to diet of wine grapes!!

We do however eat chocolate Bilbies (small marsupial native to central aus) at Easter - as rabbits are vermin here.
