POTC FAN!!!!!

In other countries what do you call Australians?

I live in Australia. In Australia we sometimes refer to English people as poms, Americans as yankies and New Zealanders as kiwi's. But what do you call Australians, just Australians or something else?

Um, I'm fairly sure the whole Yank/Yankie/Yankee thing is derived from 'Yankee Doodle', etc....like the Yankees v the Confederates and so forth?

But honestly last time I was in America people referred to me as Aussie - that was after I established that no, I wasn't English/New Zealander/South African and yes, English was my native language.

C.C
Don't wogs call us skips, after skippy?
or Aussies?

And Americans are Yanks not yankies. I would like to know where we got that from.

i_kali_xD

Either Australians or Aussies.

That's all.

AZ
We just call you Aussies. And you guys call us Yanks or Seppos, or Septics. Something to do with rhyming slang. Septic tank = yank, and because I've heard that most Aussies think that us Americans are full of sh*t, like a septic tank.

Ryan
Aussies and Ozzies i think we call them Ozzies

Americans are Yanks.. Septic tank = yank.. There is no offence meant by it.

I refer to myself as Aussie not Australian.
