I'll be in Perth to visit my bro for abt 2 weeks. So are there interesting places to visit in Perth? I've been told that Perth is boring. So any suggestions?

Murray and Hay Street malls

Bell Tower

Fremantle on Friday night

and Northbridge on Saturday night

Subiaco is also funky (Rokeby Rd and Hay St), not to mention West Leederville (Oxford St), for dining out Highgate (Beaufort St) and Northbridge are the best and if you're one of those cool retro/vintage chic people, you'll like Mount Lawley.

Lots of tourists also seem to like Kings Park.

if it's the nightlife you want, try: http://www.lookatwa.com.au/Entertainment/nightlife.html

Good luck :) You can go to the beach, Cottesloe is the most "famous" one, but the beaches in the northern suburbs are the nicer ones, but its a bit cold, wet and windy for the beach at the moment. There's King's Park and the Bell Tower, Fremantle (and Fremantle Prison) and also Rottnest, but depending what kind of city/country you come from, Perth can be quite boring. It doesnt have a variety of exciting touristy things to see and do, but its a nice place to just relax and chill out.

Rottnest Island, the Perth Zoo, the Aquarium of Western Australia, visit a winery, Caversham Wildlife Park, the Perth Mint, Ngilgi Cave, museums, beaches, shopping, restaurants.

Don't go into the CBD or Northbrige at night.

Too dangerous.

The place is taken over by gangs of drug and alcohol affected people that will bash you for a cigarette.

The Police are always out there arresting them.

I work in the CBD and it's really scary looking down from my building into the Court yard behind St Georges Cathedral when I'm doing overtime to see what they are doing.

( Petedavo ... I lived and worked in Northbridge for months, and would get out almost every night and I never had any problems !
How do you want people to respect Aborigines when you say things like that ...
No wonder there's still very much discriminated against.

(I've never seen any Aboriginal people bashing someone in Perth) )

Perth is great place to chill out.
Beaches, Rottnest Island, Fremantle, Swan Bell, Kings Park, Heirisson Island, London Court
