OK, are you for real??
1) We are nowhere near afghanistan. We are an island continent located in the indian ocean just underneath asia/indonesia. Afghanistan is in the middle East. Find yourself a map of the world and it will be quite easy to spot Australia......
2) Our language is indeed English, though we have such a huge amount of "new Aussies" here that many many many languages are spoken. (If you want to get technical, I guess our native language would be of indigenous Aboriginal origin)
3) Forest? The majority of Australia is actually what we refer to as the outback. Or desert. The southern coastline, eastern coastline and tasmania is where you will find most of the forests.
4) And we have actual people here too! And electricity. And running water. And the telephone. And computers. And the Internet. Inside toilets........
AND YET ANOTHER NEWS FLASH FOR YOU: Pretty much every country in the world speaks English!
Seriously though, look it up on some of the links you have been given if you seriously know that little about the countries on the planet on which you live!! Step away from the tv and closer to the bookshelf my dear. My son is 4 and he can find India, Africa, Antarctica plus the city where we live, the towns his Grandparents/Aunties/Uncles/cousins live, The city his dad travels to often for work plus many other places that we read about in his books.. AND HE IS FOUR YEARS OLD. |

For a start, Australia doesn't even share borders with any country let alone, Afghanistan which isn't even anywhere near Australia.
1. Yes - we speak English.
2. Australia is located in the southern hemisphere in the Asia-Pacific/Oceania regions.
3. Yes... 'animals' are replying to this because no humans live here. *cough cough*

1. Everyone speaks English. Although, there are many people immigrating to Australia nowadays so it's very multicultural now. It's common to find people of all different nationalities.
2. Australia is below south east Asia and it is between the Indian Ocean and the South Pacific Ocean.
3. You will find animals such as kangaroos and koalas like they show on TV, but only in the outback where there aren't many people around. Most people live near cities. |

1. Australians speak English. Their accent sounds like Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts, (though in alot of their movies they speak with an American accent, so check out their interviews).
2. Australia is basically a large island. It is it's own continent, and is the smallest continent in the world. It is roughly as large as the mainland of the US, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. It is in the southern part of the Pacific Ocean, near New Zealand, Antarctica, Malaysia, and at the end (or as they like to say, beginning of the world). Farther away from Australia are the Polynesian islands, and a little farther away is Hawaii. (Seriously man, look at google maps).
3. Roughly 20 to 30 million people live in Australia, at least when I took Geography they did. Australian cities are very similar to the western United States in terms of how they look, and modernization. There are animals called marsupials that live there such as koala, kangaroo, and wallaby that are not found anywhere else in the world. This marsupial evolution happened thousands of years ago when the continent broke away from the Indoasian subcontinent and left animals were secluded. The Outback (it's not only a restaurant) is a large desert that comprises of a good majority of the land, and it is located in the middle of the continent. Ayers Rock is a large rock formation that is located in the outback, and holds significance to the Aboriginee people, who were like what the Native Americans were to North America before the European colonization. There are rainforests in Australia, but these are located in areas closer to the coast. Also, some of the worlds most beautiful beaches are located in Australia, and the Great Barrier Reef is one of the most beautiful places in the world. |

1. English is the primary language used in Australia.
2. Australia, officially the Commonwealth of Australia, is a country in the southern hemisphere comprising the mainland of the world's smallest continent, the major island of Tasmania, and numerous other islands in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Neighbouring countries include Indonesia, East Timor, and Papua New Guinea to the north, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and New Caledonia to the north-east, and New Zealand to the south-east.
3. The population is just over 21.3 million, with approximately 60% concentrated in and around the mainland state capitals of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. The nation's capital city is Canberra, located in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
This is the country http://www.lonelyplanet.com/maps/pacific/australia/map_of_australia.jpg this is our flag http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/b9/Flag_of_Australia.svg/800px-Flag_of_Australia.svg.png
