austraila is cheap as compared to the US and europe. The food is cheap and the lodging is very very cheap considering u dont go to the known chain of hotels. u can visit

Generally speaking............ yes Australia is a very clean country... it is the people and their habits that determine whether a country stays that way!
On the whole Aussies are very clean as a race, some places are a bit untidy but the rubbish removal system is on the ball and most people do do their bit to 'keep Australia tidy'
As in any society there are the ones who do not give a damn, thankfully though Australia does NOT have too many of them!
For those of you who do plan to come to Australia for a holiday I suggest that you also get with the program and do your bit to keep Australia the most sought after destination on this planet and so that future generations can also enjoy the beauty and cleanliness of this magnificent continent! |

Yes, in fact, I find it very sterile. The city area is a bit dirty, and there are quite a few of homeless people. But overall, first world country hygiene standard. |

cleaner than the usa, in my opinion, but every city has trash, and some spots cleaner than others. you can drink the water, if that helps! |
