Have you been there? Your thoughts, please

Me, myself and I
I have to say I am from Australia with ethnic background and I would rather holiday here than go to my own country! Australia is great and melbourne is the most liveable city in the world!! It has so many tourist attractions, just check out our sites. i would highly recommend Melbourne and Queensland where there is all the greatest themeparks in the world!!! It is a great and very worthwhile destination!!!! Even the celebs come here all the time...

I would love to go there to visit and see how it is and to see the Australian people and learn any new customs there might be there that the Americans don't have. I have traveled to 12 overseas countries and to Canada and to the Bull Fights in Mexico. I lived in Izmir, Turkey-Athens, Greece and also in Heidelberg, Germany. I have lived in 8 States and visited 27 states here in the USA plus Washington D.C. I love traveling and seeing other people, customs and sights. There are so many wonderful things of nature and this world yet to see! :o)

I have never been there. But I have talked to people have been there to live or work or vacation and they love it.

YES! Of course it is a worthwhile holiday destination. If it isn't , why would so Americans, European and Asian tourists come to Australia every year?

Come on over, mate! You won't regret it. Australia is an amazing place.

The Great Barrier Reef is unmatched around the world. The beaches are marvellous, and if you are interested in the wildlife or the culture of the Aboriginese, it can be fascinating. There's a great opera house in Sydney Harbour, and the trains are... interesting. Worthwhile? That really depends on your interests.

Never been there. Sounds good though.

I live here, I can vouch for its wincingly bright sun and cerulean skies. We have great food, great beaches, cute animals, friendly people. As a country it's a nice place to live, but I can't say what it's like as a holiday destination in terms of activities/transport etc.

kingofaus
I would say it is, there is alot of multicultural people here, the weather is nice, climbing the Sydney harbour bridge is fun and the accent isn't horrible.

but if you plan on going into the outback then make sure you dont go alone because alot of people have gone misssing when their cars have broken down. But yeah it is lovely especially the beaches at Bondhi and Byron Bay they make me wanna drool

sammy_extreme88
i live in melbourne which is one of the worlds most liveable citys. they say we are the lucky country and we are. I could name so many places you could go to that are not exspensive at all and u would be blown away, we have the gold coast, the outback, plenty of beaches, rainforests u can go to see all of this its that easy

I haven't been there but I know a few people who have been there, and if you have the money you should go. Or New Zealand...Both are very neat places.

I plan on going at some point.
