Very. You have to keep in mind that there are many varied accents within those three groups as well.

Yeah the generic Australian accent tends to go up at the end in a questioning tone, but obviously there are regional variations too.
The language is basically the same with a few variations but I think most of the time everyone understands each other.

It's completely different from any American accent. Well spoken, educated Australians sometimes sound like some British people to the untrained ear, but British accents are usually quite different.
