Huh?

Is New Zealand as awesome as I think it might be?

Anyone been there?

Yes new Zealand is awesome, i've been to 13 other countries but NZ is the best in my opinion.
Amazing scenery, lovely people, food, climate (not too hot, nor too cold, although we still get snow in winter which makes for a fantastic season of snowboarding/skiing and the mountainous scenery is at its best when the mountains are covered in snow)
its a fantastic place to bring up kids or own a dog for that matter as nothings ever far away, beaches, rivers, lakes are all within a short drive away.
we have no dangeorous creatures here so you can safely walk in the bush without fearing for your safety
I cannot say enough good words about NZ it truly is an amazing country, you'll definetly have to come and see for yourself

I was there a little over a year ago and just loved it. I went to a bunch of pubs and had a great time. Nice and friendly kind of people.

You're thinking right. I can't think of a better place to live anymore, and I've tried pretty much all of them by now.

Just keep in mind that many things that turn out to be awesome may not give that impression right away. NZ is one of those places where you discover slowly just how deep the rabbit hole goes, and it's pretty deep.

I went to New Zealand last month and I totally fell in love with it! It was so amazing there and I just love the Kiwi way of life. They are so laid back and they are all so into their culture. Also, the bond they all have with rugby is amazing. I definitely will go back and I wouldn't mind living there in the future.

Bandit
New Zealand is a very scenic country i have been twice and will be going back.

Depends where you want to go and what you want to do: If you want a scenic drive then yes it is, and if you want adventure go to Queenstown.

Jimmy J

I've lived here off and on for the last 23 years. The place has gone to the dogs in that time. It used to bea nice place to live, now it is just a violent welfare state. Education system is poor, medical system is poor too. It has some nice weather for about 4 months a year. Rate of crime is 10 times higher than New York City! Roads suck. No freedom of speech or press. Trial by jury to be suspended next year. It's like pre world war 2 Germany. High cost of living and low wages.
