New Zealand and Australia are two separate country's - there is NO bridge to drive between the two, in fact it's approx a three hour flight from Aussie to NZ.
NZ and Australia are an English speaking country.
Get your facts here - even has a map for you !

Yeah funny joke [claps hands].
Most of the US is currently more like the third world than most of Australia or New Zealand despite the much higher GDP per capita. |

You mean third world countries outside the third world country of America? Some African countries have worse economies right now, but not many. As for English, it has never been spoken in America. |

People speak English in America?!

1. New Zealand is a 7 day drive if your car is submersible (for the Tasman Sea crossing). I suggest a classic Volkswagon Beetle with the doors welded up.
2. Americans speak English? Don't all you Amexicans speak Spanish now?
3. Don't worry, Australia and New Zealand accept refugees from every country without fear or favour - even third world countries like the United States. |

English is spoken in every airport control tower in the world - except in the Province of Quebec. I often have doubts about the correct use of English in the United States of America.
Neither Australia nor New Zealand is a 'third world country'. Again, I have doubts about the U.S.A. |

I hope you're very very young.
N.Z. is about a 3 hour flight from AU.
Yes, many people speak English outside of the U.S. New Zealanders and Australians speak English, as do the English...go figure. |

Why don't you do a project about the third world country inside America? You could do your research by interviewing your parents. |

I hope you wrote this with a sense of sarcasm...
Otherwise, I think you'd better have a look at a map just to make sure you know where America is - compared to other countries.
Neither New Zealand nor Australia are third world countries. Perhaps you could look up a definition for 'third world' while you're looking up a map.
Ironically, from where I live in Australia, it is quicker to fly to New Zealand than it is to fly to Perth. You cannot drive to New Zealand, as there is a vast amount of ocean between the two countries.
In reference to speaking English outside of America - English is a language from England. Most countries that teach a second language to their students learn English. Pretty much any country you travel to (if you speak English) you will be able to communicate with someone who lives there. Your best chance to communicate in English is to speak to younger people - as they are probably learning English in school.
I was in Cambodia a little while ago, and not only do the citizens speak Khmer, French and American English, they use US money for most transactions.
Perhaps you could look at South America - something I'm sure you know more about than Australia. South America has people who live in the third world *and* don't speak English! That would be a very enlightening project. |

NZ and AUS is about 2500km apart with the tasman sea in between
And by the way Isn't it only a quick 20 minute drive from California to Hawaii? |

New Zealand is a separate country to Australia, and is most definitely NOT a third-world country. It is an international 3 hour flight to get from Australia to New Zealand, and you need a passport to visit. There are many people who speak English outside of America. |

Oh my, you americans are so witty aren't you? You forgot to ask if we ride kangaroos to work and wrestle crocodiles on the weekends.
Tell you what, fly over here, hire yourself a car and see how far you get driving across the ditch. Make sure you pack your goggles and underwater breathing stuff and don't forget the shark repellent. They like to eat pests...... |
