Is Sydney better than Brisbane?

Yes I would say Sydney is better than Brisbane.

Brisbane doesn't really have too much to do unless to travel down to the Gold Coast.

Sydney has loads to do! Sydney also has beaches whereas Brisbane only has mudflaps.

Sydney has the Opera house, Centre Point tower, Luna Park, and the Harbor Bridge as well as heaps of different great restaurants in the city.

However, Brisbane does not have as much traffic as Sydney and the weather in Brisbane is generally sunnier and warmer (although it can get cold).

Brisbane for me reminds me of a very large country town so I would say Sydney is alot more exiting.

But that's just my opinion.

There isn't really anything to see or do in Brisbane that you can't do in Sydney, but there are heaps of things that you can do in Sydney that you can't in Brisbane.

Brisbane has NO history, Sydney has tonnes.

But if you want sun, surf and attractions then the Gold Coast (1 hr south of Brisbane) is the place to go.

Absolutely!! Brisbane has come a long way though - I was up there late last year and the city is quite gorgeous now compared to years ago when it was a pretty drab and old place.......but there's no place like Sydney - particularly the northern beaches where I come from!!

In what aspects? It depends on what you're talking about.

I'm from Sydney and I find the lifestyle here alright. I believe Brisbane has a more relaxed lifestyle.

Traffic is obviously better in Brisbane because the population there is smaller. Housing in Sydney is more expensive to that of Brisbane.

In terms of things to see and do, Sydney has more but if you don't mind travelling, then the Gold Coast is always an option if you're in Brisbane.

Oh heck yeah, better night life, better culture, better history, better beaches (Brizzy isn't on the beach, it's on a kinda nasty river. Sydney's suburbs are on the beach.), better restaurants, better football (Go The Sharks!!! I have faith that one of these days you'll start winning again.), better beer (Stay away from XXXX if you don't wanna mouth like a gas station toilet in the morning. Stay away from Victoria Bitter also. Drink Toohey's) and while both are pretty hot, Brisbane is hotter, and I don't like that. Yeah, maybe I'm a little prejudiced, sorry.

Sydney is better to visit, Brisbane is better to live in.

Alot of areas very close to Brisbane are even better to visit, but you have to be prepared for more than a walk to get to most of them.

BRISBANE IS WAY BETTER! sydney isnt bad but i think its a bit feral and brisbane has better weather.
