Is Sydney more fun than Melbourne?

I am new comer to Melbourne from Dubai and I feel it is a depressing place? is it like that in all Australia or is it just Melbourne?

Definetely not! Melbourne is just as fun as Sydney, you just have to look around. Also it helps to travel around. Places to try are:
-Luna Park in St. Kilda. It's near a beach so that's good too!

-Sovereign Hill in Ballarat is great fun.

-Melbourne's CBD (central business district), there's cute little lanes hidden away and it's very fun to walk around through there, plus you'll find better things to do while you're at it.

-Eureka Tower in Melbourne's CBD, it's fantastic to get up there on the 87th storey and see everything. plus, for the brave people there's The Edge, which is a glass cube that extends 3metres out and it's perfectly safe.

Then you can see the sights too which is free minus travel costs, but you can use the City Circle Tram which is free. Try googling Melbourne, you'll find more great things to do.

I'm Sydney born and bred and love my home town but I also love Melbourne. They are very different cities. Maybe you are feeling a bit down being alone in a new place? Melbourne has great bars and restaurants and cafes and galleries. Get out and meet some locals and they will show you some fun!

Melbourne sucks, seriously. I'm just being biased because I'm from Sydney, haha. No, but seriously, it really depends what kind of fun you're looking for, both cities will have different outcomes, but overall you'll most likely to have fun either way.

Melbourne depressing! Most people love Melbourne. Sydney is very different with the harbour the centre of the city. In fact every city is very different in Australia. But none are going to be remotely like Dubai. It may be you need to take a bit of time to find out what there is to do and see, and join an organisation to make friends. Once you are more settled you may enjoy it more.

You get what you are looking for. Search for fun and you'll find it, no matter where you are - even in Dubai!

melbourne suxxx. its weather is unpredictable and nothing to do once u done it. its so repetitive. omg i hate it

I love Sydney although I live in Brisbane because of the warmer climate.
In my opinion, Sydney is a fun place for people of all ages and less conservative than Melbourne.
As for the weather in Melbourne, if you don't like it you only have to wait 15 minutes for it to change again.
