Hey how you goin??

I used to live in Northern Tassie but now for personal and work reasons I live in Perth WA.....and yes Latrobe is a nice place to live...its got everything you will need but is still only 10 minutes from the comercial centre of Devonport on the coast....which is also a nice place, personally I wouldn't live there though, take a look at the silos on the way over "Victoria Bridge" and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about mate....other places I would recomened along the coast are Ulvestone, Penquin and the majority of Burnie with the only suburb that you should definetly steer clear of here being Shearwater....its like Noble Park/Springvale in Melbourne or Thornlie and Armadale in Perth...

if you would like any information on these areas please feel free to take a look at the following websites or email me.

www.latrobe.tas.gov.au
www.dcc.tas.gov.au
www.burnie.net
www.ccc.tas.gov.au

this shall definetly get you started and I wish you best of luck.

any more questions please email me direct at mitchellhardman@yahoo.com.au

cheers,

Mitch

We are the only Atomically ready state? thats cool where can i find more info about that?

I haven't been to Devonport since I was 11. (born there) ok I am way older now....... So can't remember that much.

Climate is alot like NZ though, if you have been there.

Bottom line is any part of Aussie is great to live in!

Here is Devonports City Councils website - it has info on tourism and about living there http://cms.dcc.tas.gov.au/internet/visitor/

live at Davenport it the closet place to the mainland!

Mudlark
It's beautiful, has a cool climate, more like Europe than the rest of Australia. If you like outdoor activities you'll love it, but if you want shopping and nightlife, you'll be very bored.

If you are looking for tranquillity then the answer is definitely yes. I am not that fond of Devonport, I admit outright, but any other place definitely.
Did you know Tasmania is the only state that is fully prepared for an atomic emergency?
