there was a campaign to make polygamy marriage legal in australia for the muslims....
most come and live fore 3 years, get a peice of paper and a passport to say that they are australian, go back home and then when there is a war, they call on the australian government to help! |

y'know ... i've worked with a young woman for nearly twelve months..she's not an Anglo-aussie ... her parents were born over-seas.. BUT it was not till this week that I had any idea that she was Muslim.... and the knowledge only came out this week when she mentioned her fasting was beginning ....
and you know what ...if only more (so called) Aussies were actually more like this girl.... STOP being so xenophobic.. and tell me what group of people you will decide to despise next ?

There are plenty here most have come for a safer lifestyle. They do their own thing with out interference. At least they don't try and convert you like The Jehovahs witness people that door knock . They have to obey Australias Rules just like us all. |

The only native Australians are aboriginals. I get so sick of ignorant people assuming that particular cultures are 'taking over' Australia. Everyone has a right to live in peace while practicing their own religious beliefs. I'm an atheist but don't go around accusing Christians of taking over the country. |

Australia isn't being 'taken over' by any one race or religion. We are a very multicultural country, and that is what makes us so interesting.
There are extremists no matter where you live, they don't have to be muslims.
Some areas have a greater concentration of Muslims than others, just as some areas have more Italians or Chinese than other nationalities.
Live and let live. Everyone deserves the right to feel safe. |
