Like the other answerer said, it depends on what your field of work is. Australia is a lovely place to live, we have a high standard of living, and work is available. I'm sure you wouldn't regret moving here (might get a bit of homesickness though), providing there are positions available for whatever job it is you wish to get.

Australia has several universities in the top 100 and one in the top twenty so there are plenty of places to further your education, Also New Zealand has hit a recession so things arent going very well there financially, Australia is better placed than most countries to withstand the financial turmoil the world i currently in
