Depends where you live dude!
It has got a lot of climates from tropical to maritime to continental to mediterranean.
If you lived in Hobart in the south it is cool to cold. Darwin in the north is hot all the time

depends where in australia you are and what season it is whe your there!
for example; In tasmania it is freezing cold in winter (right now) but the summer is quite warm, it's high humidity too so it's the stuff that makes you sweat!

In northern Australia, i do believe it is quite warm all year round but they do have monsoonal rain.

Victoria is similar to Tassie in that it does get rather cold, humidity is ussually lower her too.

Central Aussie is hot, it doesn't have the ocean to regulate the temperature, that's why there's a lot of desert through that area.

It's a big stereotype that Aussie is hot but there is lots of temp variations! we do get snow too!

If you wanna know more i suggest you google it and find out all the details. if you were wondering about a tropoical holiday and aren't used to high temps, i'd reccomend that you come in our spring months (sep, oct, nov) and go to the gold coast, you won't get monsoonal rain and it will be lovely and warm!

Yes australia is a hot country, Queensland gets more heat than anywhere. Here in Victoria we get our weather from Adelaide, so basically if it's hot in Adelaide we get there heat the next day and if a cool change is coming, the wind blows south westerly. In Victoria we get up to 40 degree(celsius) days, sometimes a couple in a row the temperature doesn't really get lower than 30 degrees celsius during the day when it's Summer. We often get 20 degree celsius at night which means we really don't get a break from the heat on those nights. On record the highest temp. in Victoria has been 42 degrees. No it's not a stereotype, we really do have a hot country, but in Winter the lowest we get in Vic. is sometimes -4 degrees. Our daytime in winter is about between 10-25 degrees, it varies.

In summer it is (winter in the northern hemisphere).

If you mean Australia...that is...not austrlia.

yes.its hot.but i don't think you will sweat profusely.i haven't been there but my friends say that the humidity is very low.so you wont sweat that much.

bored to death
haha HELLO australia is like half desert.
i live in one of the coldest states and in summer it gets to 44 degrees celcius.
in farenheight thats 110 degrees

Ringo J
yes

Probably alot hotter than what you are used to, the states vary in temp as well. The N.T being the hottest and then QLD. the rest are pretty alright, except Melbourne get's a bit colder than the rest i think.

Australia is a very large country with some places that are hot all year round and others that are only hot during summer.
The northern 1/3 of the country is in the Tropics and is very warm to hot all year round. Then next third has cool (in the south) to warm (in the north) winters and hot summers and the remainder has cool to fairly cold winters and hot to very hot summers. It only snows heavily in the highest mountains and none of our cities ever has snow lasting for more than a few hours and only on very rare occasions.
The tropical third of the country only has 2 seasons - 'hot and wet' from Oct/Nov until about Apr/May and 'not quite so hot and dry' the rest of the year.
In the remainder of Australia the seasons are more defined, but only the lower third really has spring (Sept/Nov) and autumn (Mar to May). Where I live (in Southeast Queensland), it seems to go from summer to winter and back to summer again with nothing much in between.

sometimes but it depends on where & when bit cold today only 20%C(68%F)where i am

Yes.

All year round. Australians like to think they have a "Winter" but upon arriving in middle of July, you would think other wise.

at the moment its winter and its really cold. when its summer it is hot, but probably the same as any other country. my friend went to the states and said it was really hot.. so probably there are hotter countries than australia.
