Car jackings and other forms of road violence are very rare in WA.
You shouldnt have any problems whatsoever!
Cheers :) |

Yes - VERY! Just go to any cinema and any major sporting/entertainment event and try to buy food and drinks and you will become a victim of highway robbery.
as far as robbery on the actual highway, no. |

Erm, I've lived in WA all my life and I've never been highway robbed, nor have I ever heard of anyone being highway robbed, even on the news, so no, it's not.
What really happens is people stop by to see if others are all right on the outback roads, we're too used to tourists dying from not taking enough water/petrol etc, so please do! |

No, it's not common here, at least not the way you mean.
WA is part of Australia so, the answer is no for there too.
We don't have drive-by shootings either.
I've got to agree with the others about the cinema prices and cost of petrol. Now, that's highway robbery. |

Bushrangers in home-made armour went out of fashion in mid 1800s.
the joke of "highway robbery" is that petrol (gas) prices are 20% to 30% more expensive on trips into desert areas. |

No. Generally safe here in WA
Although there was that time a couple of years back in Perth when several prisoners somehow escaped from the Supreme Court and one or two did car jack to get away.
Car break-ins do occur though so don't leave ur valuables in the car and in plain sight. |
