Is it spring in Australia or is it autumn there? |
Since Australia is on the Southern Hemisphere, the seasons are the other way around.
It was winter a couple of months ago in Australia, so is it spring right now? (October~November)
Or is it autumn as it is in the Northern Hemisphere?
I can't imagine having Christmas in the summer =p |

Yes, as everyone has said we are in late Spring looking forward to Summer.
I can see how it's difficult for you to imagine a hot, Summer Christmas.
It's just as difficult for us to think of suffering through of a snowy, cold Christmas with the flu, every year.
Here we enjoy Christmas by the pool, at the beach etc and generally Christmas is a very outdoor time of the year. The children have their long Summer holiday from school then.
Gifts for the kids include new pushbikes, trampolines, swing sets, pool and beach items etc.
In most neighbourhoods at about 5am or 6am Christmas morning you'll see kids test riding their new Christmas bikes.
It's wonderful. |

Nothing can beat having Christmas in Summer, pool party's, BBQ's or sitting on the beach with a Ice cold beer , It starts to warm up for summer at the end of August and cools down mid April. I still go surfing and swimming during the winter it's 68- 72 f during the day here in Sydney in winter. So three months cool nine months warm to hot weather. |

Depends where you live really. For example, in the Top End, they have only two seasons, wet and dry. It's always hot. If you are going by the "Spring starts on the first of September" thing, then it's spring. If you go by the weather, where I live in Central Victoria, it's the beginning of summer. |
