Is it true that if you wander into certain parts of Australia?

there will be heaps and heaps of kangaroos, and when they see you, they start nudging each other and pointing at you, exclaiming: "Look! Look! A human!" and then they take digital cameras out of their pockets and start clicking avidly? And they never stop taking photos until the human runs away?

You failed to mention the fact that they, also, laugh so much they fall over.

Kangaroos can be extremely rude.

Unfortunately this behaviour is contributing to the warming of the planet. They used to think that the outback was hot because of the amount of clear days and bright sunshine, but it's actually because of the number of flashes going off when the kangaroos take pictures. Camera manufacturers need to understand how hard it is for the kangaroos to turn their flashes off, as kangaroo paws can't control the buttons very well. The people that are photographed by the kangaroos also end up with third degree burns because of the latent heat from the combined flash effect. All this is significantly harming the environment, but Greenpeace have vowed to stop this senseless destruction by the kangaroos who know only too well what they are doing. Hopefully, that will be the end of it.

Yep, it's true! The same way that you keep asking all these questions on Yahoo! Answers and the rest of the world is laughing at your stupidity.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Ahem. I'm fine. Really.

Just loved that.

It's true that you will wander into certain parts of the country and see squillions of them yes... but I haven't seen any with digital cameras... I think they prefer the camera phones!

*wink*

The ones that are routinely in people's back yards tend not to run away, though (the roos, that is, not the people)-- ha!

No, not true.

Perhaps Japanese tourists might do that

I've got no cameras in my pouch, bro. I keep that just for storing my beer.

But Why??

yes, that is true. However they are under contract and each Roo cannot reveal the make of each digital camera, as they do not endorse products without consulting the manager and their agreements.
