Is it true that in Australia people use kangaroos to mow the lawn? |
They just encouraged them in, then the kangaroos start clipping the grass - clip, clip, clip - with their sharp teeth, and in no time it's mown! But then kangaroos are never paid for their job, though they are very efficient, and simply shooed away! |

When we went to view a property for sale in Pelican Waters we walked into the lounge and were quite surprised to find two kangaroos on the back lawn nibbling away.
They are left to roam free over the golf course and wander into the gardens whenever the grass looks tasty.
Heres a photo I took...................

Yet another case of discrimination against kangaroos.
It's a fair days pay for a fair days work for everyone but not kangaroos.
The kangaroos are considering a go slow strike and are going to start picketing some of the neighbourhoods involved. |

I live in the Aussie bush and yes, they do mow the lawn to a certain degree.
They are not very thorough though.
And they'll eat your precious garden if you don't fence it off.
My pet goat does a better job, but then, goats eat ALOT! |

No, the fences to keep them in are too expensive. A sheep or a horse does a much better job and understands fences. |

Mostly the kangaroos are uninvited guests and I have never known them to mow the lawn for me. '
Some of them tend to have suicidal tendencies and are known to jump out in front of the car. Have a friends who's car is a right off due to such an incident last week. |
