Is it true that in Australia, when people want to have a really posh wedding,?

they hire a kangaroo to deliver the invitations?
Additional Details
And one kangaroo got lost, because they gave it a delinquent map, and delivered too late, and the invitees didn't speak for the married couple for the next five years?

The phone number is 1800-SKIPPY.
You can also hire little female joeys to be ring bearers but getting the rings out of her pouch can be problematic.

DollyMD
The kangaroos are part of a service originally started by the crocodiles - the crocs needed the kangaroos because Aussies were a little reluctant to take their invitations out of the mouths of the crocs. The kangaroos are willing to officiate at weddings overseas as long as warm drizabones are provided, but don't worry about providing skis in snowy conditions as their long, rear legs allow them to parallel down the steepest slopes like Olympic champs!

The_Mouse
Yes it is true.
All you Americans who say it isn't true obviously have never been to a posh wedding.
One wedding I head about was so posh they got a Big Red to deliver the invites. It would have been so suave to see the old man stomping up your driveway.

And yes! fees re nominal. The only problem we have - but only sometimes - is when they travel on planes - in the cargo hold, [please see my answer on this subject asked by same asker elsewhere in this section] and the courier gets into a drunken party with the other roo passengers and it turned up at the invite recipients' place plastered.

Cheers

Hmmm you have a wierd sense of humour, well i hope thats your sense of humour at work. Kangaroo in some parts of Australia are killed because there a pest, its kind of like cammels (yeah we have cammels to, introduced though). Id prefer a camel delivering my invitations, just be more interesting to see a camel walk the streets, id like to be riding it while delivering the invitations though.

I'm sorry but this time you have got it wrong. Our Kangaroos are used for many things. They can spy when jumping on the trampolines . But they don't believe in weddings. they have a free for all way of living.
