Someone above me said that if you're poor in USA, it'll be the same here in Oz.

Whoever said that dude ur so wrong!

In Oz, if u have a baby, gov gives you money! if u dont work, gov gives you money! if u pay rent, the government will still give you some money!

Oh and also we havent had a terroist threat yet

Sydney is beautifull............but there are also many beautifull places in the US......
I“ve been to both and I don“t live in either....but If I had to pick, I“d go with Australia....

Seleuco
Anything is better than living in US

sen
aussieblonde - summed it up for all of us.

I personally think as I'd rather live amongst a country of 20 million people than 300+ million that the Usa has. Dont like crowds.

sarahmuffin4
I agree with cutiepie - there's already too many people over here if you ask me!!

Australia is a great place to live, as long as you like the sunshine, the many different races and sausages (sorry, snags)!

Our only downside is our Prime Minister is a ********!!

Fair dinkum Ridgy didge True blue Dinky-di!

Good onya! Aussieblonde, couldn't have put it better myself.

depends what you like;
no oz doesnt have 194 million registered guns
no Oz doesnt house 86% of the worlds serial killers
no oz doesnt have 49 million diagnosed mental illnesses
no oz doesnt have 80,000 registered sex offenders in one state alone (not even in the entire country, not even close)
no oz doesnt have a constitution that protects A-holes like the KKK
no oz doesnt have an average chubby woman size of 5'3 weighing 150lb
no oz doesnt promote the fat chubby butt as sexy (infact we call it what it is FAT! do some exercise)
no oz isnt fascinated with plastic surgery (unless theres a medical reason for it)
no oz doesnt ram religion down your throat
no oz doesnt try and police the world
no oz doesnt stand up and say they are better than anyone else
no oz doesnt group people by race - an aussie is an aussie (who has the best BBQ is what counts)
no oz doesnt get carried away with celebrities unless they are actually of a standing in the community that promotes the saving of lives and conservation
oz provides countless amounts of work in the trades industries, medical, hospitality, education and tourism
oz provides any season you'd like
oz provides a choice of city, country, coastal, busy, slow, medium lifestyles
oz provides an excellent public education system
oz provides incredible wonders and preserved nature
Oz is an island, so no other country is attached
Oz is a british colony and protected by the UK
Oz is far enough away from everyone that we have true freedom and peace
oz provides a country that offers the same amount of land mass as the US with only 20 million people living it............so you decide its a personal choice

I've laughed so hard at aussieblondes answer - and she's got it pretty spot on! Having travelled all over, and lived in the northern hemishere, Australia is too hard to beat.
And the people are the friendliest in the world, not a fake 'have a nice day' sort of fake, and genuine 'howya goin'' friendliness!

I live in US but spent time in Australia since my brother moved there 10 years ago. I loved it, Australia anytime!!!!!! (but no mexican food)

Life it's life...If u are poor in USA u cannot say that it will be more easy for you in Australia...Money speak everywhere

Depends on what you mean by better. I lived in Perth, and it was nice and all, but it was like living in the 50's.

Nah....the toilets flush all weird, and all their maps are upside down!
