Is tasmania part of new zealand?

I'm doing some work for social studies, and i came across this question. it's a true or false question, and im not sure if tasmania is part of new zealand or not.

Tasmania is a state of Australia.

New Zealand is a different country, and not part of Australia.

You need a passport to travel between these country's.

Tasmania's climate is similar to New Zealand.
