Well, as this question is in the Australia section, I would guess that it is referring to Oz not USA. In that case it would definitely be north. Beautiful beaches, water, scenery. Much less inhabited up there. |

Depends on what you want to do. |

Are you referring to Australia or some other part of the world?
I prefer the middle bit between the North Coast of NSW and and the Fraser Coast in Qld. |

the south and north of what? |

I prefer the south because the climate is less humid, and because it is the home of Aussie Rules. Sorry, but I just don't understand Rugby or League.
The north is a great place to visit for a holiday, but its not for me as a place to live. |

The north is generally better for natural beauty, south is better for people comfort oriented activities. |

Not much of a difference is there. The North is North and the South is South. |

Southern Hemisphere is better then the Northern as this is where Australia is =)
South - Melbourne is cold in winter but is great for shopping
North - Queensland is too hot in summer but great for a winters getaway
The Middle - New South Wales, best of everything. |
