Is the water in taps in Perth Australia safe to drink or should it be boiled.? ?

Just arrived in Perth today and am very thirsty. The hotel has a mini bar and the water is quite expensive.
Additional Details
No seriously is it safe? Don't need a dose of Deli Belly for my first day at work. The jet lag will be bad enough.

Perth tap water is perfectly safe to drink.

Depending on what you are used to, you may find that its tastes a little metallic. That is because there is a relatively high iron content in the ground water. The untreated groundwater is used in gardens and parks and the iron causes the rust-coloured stains that you will notice on some walls and park equipment. The tap water is treated to remove most of the iron but so far as I understand it, even if it was left in, it wouldn't do you any harm.

Oh for crying out loud! Of course it's safe. This is Australia and our water (including Perth's) is probably cleaner and better than whereever you came from.
