Is there anyone out there that hates New Zealanders?

Well, I was born a Brit and I'm a naturalised NZer. I live in NZ and I'm married to a Kiwi. Maybe hate is too strong a word. But there are plenty of reasons for being bored and pissed-off with many of us. Many Kiwis are obsessed with sport. We pride ourselves on our clean, green image, but this is unjustified smugness. We're one of the youngest nations in the world and we haven't yet had time to stuff this country up. We're lucky enough to still have a sparse population and to be isolated from the world's trouble spots. But a few greedy right-wing politicians and business tycoons are encouraging immigration for their own selfish reasons. Most countries in Western Europe are doing much more to protect the environment than we are. Like much of the English-speaking world, we haven't much respect for education and our record for violence against kids is one of the worst in the OECD. I live near a small provincial town and we've got our fair share of religious bigots, wifebashers, perverts, Harper Valley PTA types, sport drongoes and losers.

Nope.

Isn't that kind of like asking, is there anyone out there who is a narrow-minded bigot?

I mean, people who hate other people --? -- C'mon. It's like saying who hates Amerikans or Europeans? Does anyone really believe you can lump a whole nationality together without allowing for individual differences?

Do you actually believe anyone would admit being prejudiced (and ignorant) online ?

Can I ask, what's your reason for trying to instigate hate & discontent against a bunch of kiwis?

Sounds like a personal problem to me.

I guess if anyone does hate New Zealanders, then it's a case of ignorance-- not knowing anything about the country or the people.

Maybe try a nicer question next time?
