Considering the small number of natives, then the poms would outway them. But, no, I would not say we are awash with poms, no more than anywhere else. I would prefer poms to many other races. |

Your lawyer has bad information or was making a joke, I think!
There are British people here of course, but certainly not to that degree.
If you really want to avoid them, I suppose you just go to the less known tourist places. I see more british tourists in Sydney and on Bondi beach, for example, than I do on the South coast of NSW or inland country areas. |

I wouldn't take that comment too seriously. It is just one of those "generalised" passing comment. But, we DO have alot of British tuorists here.
If you want to avoid English people then go to Queensland - plenty of Japanese though. LOL
Cheers. |

You could avoid the pubs.
Sorry, couldn't resist that. As Brits have a good sense of humour I hope they'll forgive me for that one. Actually I haven't noticed too many Britons here at all - plenty of Asians at the moment (nothing wrong with Asians, I'm just making an observation) - and we'll accept any visitors with open arms as long as they're not carrying weapons. We're a peaceful nation down here.
I think he's having you on. Are you English? |
