All that i've met have been "laid back"..i'm beginning to wonder if the are any cranky people down there and why im living up here..

I think its just a part of our culture to be laid back, we certainly dont have to try to do it! Probably because we've never been directly affected by wars, famines or major uprisings, most Aussies are blissfully happy and we know we live in the lucky country.
That said, we still have our share of hard times and depression etc, but I think the basic philosophy of "she'll be right mate", shines through in every aussie!

I'm an Aussie and I don't think there's any pressure at all. I think our governing and society is just very easy going and there is no need to be tried amd laid back because ti comes naturally to us.

na there is no pressure. australians in general are pretty laid back but of course there are people that arent and there is no pressure on them!
