It seems many on here are convinced of Schapelle Corby's guilt?

I asked a question about it because I was convinced possibly of her innocence but SURELY of the fact that the Bali officials did not gather evidence and prove her guilt well enough. However, I am American and we may not get all the facts. If you believe she is guilty, what reasons do you have for believing so (leaving aside things like her looks or things that are not evidence). Thanks for your responses!
Additional Details
Well...Camilla...she did not get the death penalty (she got 20 years) and it was not a bag of weed it was 10 lbs of weed. Nevertheless, incredibly harsh innocent or guilty and on top of it the trial was completely unfair in my opinion due to destruction of evidence by handlers and lack of proper testing.

Sooner or later young people will have to understand that when you enter a foreign country you obey their laws or face their consequences !
She may well be innocent & just a patsy for one of her family or friends ...who knows ! My guess is one of her family or ALL of them know very well !

Many have formed their opinion on this matter as a result of her "trial-by-media", however I feel that when faced by the details (as presented from both sides) - most of us honestly don't know what to think.
I pray that she is innocent!

Picola
I read her Biography "My story" and was absolutely stunned after reading it, the opinion i formed from that is that shes definitely innocent, but i never kept up much with the news when she was on trial etc so my opinion is pretty much solely based on her story which is a darn good one if its all lies!!

Well I believe she is guilty because she has been convicted. That is what I base my beliefs on. No one can honestly say they know the truth in the case unfortunately. It all seems a little dodgy on all parts. The fact that she was found with the drugs however, and that her family has a history of drugs is enough to convince me that she is probably guilty. No - it is not hard evidence so I could be wrong - but that is what I believe.

I try not to believe much of what the media tells us though - you can never trust what they want us to believe! They never have all the facts anyway and just tell you stuff that makes a good story.

Also, it does look like she is having a pretty easy time over there and it doesn't seem like she is in too bad a position - it's not like she's living in squalour or about to be hung or something. So I don't have a whole lot of pity for her.

None of us have all the facts and certainly don't know what has happened so I wish the media would just leave the story alone for once. The more they go on about the whole situation the less I care.

Her half brother is one of the suppliers of the stuff to someone I know that deals the stuff. He was arrested for it too.

I was never entirely convinced that the stuff was 'hers' but I know it was packed in that bag at her house, and she admitted that it was hers when questioned about it (which is all that's required to prove it in Indonesia). There's no way she picked up that bag and expected it to contain anything other than what it did. I think the rest of her family had her hold it exactly because she's good looking, and they figured she would be the least likely to be questioned.

The rest is a wonderful world of fiction. How many other people have ever gotten home at the end of a trip to find one of their oddly shaped bags contained MJ in exactly the shape of that bag? None ?

Note the Australian Police didn't give evidence for the trial because the only evidence they had was likely to incriminate her further.

i don't know whether or not she is guilty, and have no opinion either way.
however i think that her family and family friends involvement in drugs may cause some people to lean more towards guilty.
also, that her lawyer admitted he 'made up' the baggage handling story probably didnt do her much good in the public eye either

Camilla S
I just feel in my heart that she is innocent, but the greater tragedy here is not whether or not she is innocent, it is whether or not the punishment fits the crime. The death penalty for a bag of weed. That is what has caused the outrage in Australia I think.
