No there is no such thing as Kangaroo racing.

We do have camel racing though - http://www.austcamel.com.au/acn_race.htm

.. and also cane toad races (in bars) for example see http://www.amazingaustralia.com.au/cane_toad_races.htm

iansand9876
Not racing as such, but we have specially trained attack kangaroos that hunt down idiots who ask dumb questions.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Sandi
No, but we have camel racing, cockaroach racing, cane toad racing, bath tub racing....etc. That's for real!

really? that sounds exciting.. how often do they hold it? they say australia's a great place.. i've never been there though..

joeeeeeeeebo
Yeah but its only held in Perth, however on 26th August every year there is a national Kangaroo Race Day (KRD) the jockies sit in the Kangaroo pouches and they race for around 3Km

You have to be older than 16 to race as it is quite dangerous!

who knows

Yes there is, did you never watch Animal Planet, they have shown them and Steve Irwin before he was killed also attended several and showed them

I don't know which cities have them now, but I do know Sydney did have one or more last year.
