Melanie

Manly or Bondi?

Where would you prefer to live?
All things considered; price, transport, location and so on.

Id prefer Manly, only because I'm a Northern Beaches girl.

Bondi is the better option if you ask me although both are really expensive. Bondi has direct trains to and from the CBD whereas the Northern Beaches don't really.

Bondi
Because it is easier to get public transport, better shopping, great beaches, great cafe's and pubs. Oh home sweet home, i could never move back to sydney because to have a fruitful life and live comfortably with a family it just wouldn't happen so country victoria for me it is.

Neither. Stay on the Northern Beaches.

I think I'd go with Bondi - better transport/closer to city, and I think I like the atmosphere better. But it is more expensive, so hard to say, would depend on which if any I could afford.

Manly.

Ferry access direct to the city. It has a great atmosphere, accessible and vibrant shopping district. Major shopping facilities are only just up the road at Waringah Mall and nearby Chatswood.

Bondi is just so touristy these days. The traffic is horrendous. Come christmas it is even worse and all the yobbo's come down to the beach to keep you awake throught the night.

Manly is the only choice between those two for me.

Bondi, but thats because I go there more often than Manly.

The pros of Manly: Cheaper, less tourisim, LOTS of beaches, ferries to city.
The cons of Manly: No trains, often takes 1 hour to city by road, ferries sometimes cancelled, further from the city, thugs and gangs

The pros of Bondi: Nightlife, resturants, trains to city, freeway to city, shopping, less crime.

The cons of Bondi: Expensive, bad traffic, crowded, sometimes a bit too touristy.

Hope this helps and have a nice day :-D

Even though I'm from the southern side of Sydney, Manly is better. So many tourists in Bondi, the beach is crap, no parking anywhere, and always seems to be windy at Bondi every time I go there.

Manly has the ferry ride to the city, massive beach, small harbour beach on the other side, The Corso for nice shops and great fish and chips, and of course fantastic childhood memories of wonderful days out.

Manly, so I would only be a short drive away from Brookvale Oval.

Go Sea Eagles!
