Melbourne or Gold Coast?

I'll be heading to Australia for a short holiday next year (around 5 days). Due to the time constraint, i could only choose either one of these places, my question is that which one is more worth it to have a more enjoyable and interesting short holiday?melbourne or gold coast?

The Gold Coast, it's one of the country's most popular holiday destinations.

Gold Coast, i live here and it's just an awesome place especially for tourists, you've got tons of beaches to choose from, shopping, night life, theme parks, and brisbane is an hour away by train, and they have the whole museum, art gallery thing going on. It's a laidback place and theres always something to do, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach are the best places to stay while on holiday.

It really depends on what works for you as an interesting holiday. If you want to spend 5 days on the beach, then the Gold Coast definitely wins out. If you are keen to go to theme parks, then its the Gold Coast again. If you are keen to do more cultural things like go to art galleries or museums (and even restaurants), then I'd choose Melbourne.

I would definitely go for the Gold Coast.
It is alot warmer and the beaches are AMAZING!
I am not saying Melbourne is bad, I just recommend the Gold Coast.

P.S It you go to the Gold Coast, go to Surfers Paradise! It is LOVELY!

Hope I Helped!

What is more enjoyable and interesting to you?
Melbourne is much better for more cultural events, galleries, shopping, restaurants.
The gold coast is better if you want beaches, theme parks.
