Really, it's a matter of taste.
Melbourne is more laid back than Sydney and not as flashy. Sydney is very exciting, if you're after pace.
Frankly, I found Sydney quite dirty, like everything had a layer of grime, which I just didn't find in Melbourne. And Melbourne has trams! Seriously, they are the most dignified form of public transport around. |
