Melbourne is a much nicer city to live in than Sydney. I'm from Brisbane, but have lived in both Melbourne and Sydney. |

Melbourne~
The city is filled with multi cultural shops and restaurants!
You feel it, taste it, see it and even smell it (what? LOL).
And it's good to do something different right? ;)
Sydney just has the opera house which is just an optical thing to me, really. |

Melbourne!
It has great shopping- you can go to the CBD, melbourne central, Spencer street DFO, Chapel street, Bridge road etc.
then you have the entertainment - you cant get bored with the amount of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and events that are on, like the spring racing carnival.
its also safer, nicer with much better traffic! |

This is such an ongoing debate. Each city has it's strengths depending on your tastes. Melbourne people hold a resentment to Sydney people, and Sydney people couldn't care less. |

I think Melbourne is great for a holiday.. but I wouldn't want to live there. |

Very different cities, no comparisons necessary.
This continual diatribe about Melbournians harbouring jealousy or resentment towards Sydney and Sydneyites not caring less, please, build a bridge and get over it.
Melbourne all the way for me! |
