Well Pakistani isn't English so they shouldn't really be compared.

They belong in their own separate "which foreign country has the most annoying English accent" category.

I'll give my 2 cents though. After spending a year backpacking around Oz, I learned that Aussies and Brits LOVE to hear the sound of their own voices.

The Brits have the Aussies beat hands-down.

Anything from the USA is far more irritating than any other English accent.

almarj70
Definately American, especially when Americans say "In America we......" Like they are the only ones who know how to do things.

fanta

The most irritating accent is those good ole country boys from down south of the USA.

Most irritating to whom?

By the way, there is an "r" in Australian.
Misspelling my country's name now that's irritating.

Neither: American!
I cant even hear australian accents, and pakistani accents are not so much irritating as amusing.

Corrosion EAC
The New Orleans accent, known locally as Yat from the idiom "Where y'at?" is far more annoying.

I know, because I grew up there and never picked it up.

aflumpire
As an Aussie, its gotta be Pakastani's or Indians trying to sell you stuff over the phone

'Ello, wud you like cheap fon cal from Telsta?'

I would say back 'Yes, ill get some pen and paper'

Leave the phone for 10 minitues see if he is still there. If so, wait 30 mins!

Oh sorry, I forgot another accent I hate...YOUR ACCENT!
